Christ Academy, Koparkhairne, Navi Mumbai is a school under the management of St. George Education Society, Bombay (Regd.), which comprises the CMI Priests.
The Society is registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1860. The plot on which the school stands was procured from CIDCO for the purpose of developing a composite school serving the Koparkhairne community.
Christ Academy is run by St. George Education Society, Bombay (Regd.), a venture of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) Priests — founded by St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara in 1831 at Mannanam, Kerala, the first indigenous religious congregation of Catholic Priests.
St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara (1805–1871) was a social reformer, poet, dramatist and educationalist. In 1864 he opened the first free Sanskrit school in India open to all sections of society, admitting Dalit students at a time when caste restrictions were the norm — living out his conviction that all human beings have an inalienable right to education.
Today, the CMI mission of education spans 391 schools, 24 arts and science colleges, 4 engineering colleges, 1 medical college, 1 university, 12 hospitals and 36 dispensaries.
CMI Devamatha Province, established on 2nd March 1953, is one of the main administrative units of the CMI Congregation. It oversees a network of schools and community programmes, including Christ Academy, Koparkhairne.
Vision: Christ Academy aims at moulding students to grow as intellectually sound, morally upright, spiritually balanced, culturally integrated, socially sensible and competent world citizens.
Mission: To create an institution of students that are empathetic, caring, honest, respectable and successful in every aspect of their lives, and to nurture noble virtues of humanity, with the support of parents and teachers as a team.

Principal's Message
It is my privilege to welcome all our students and parents to Christ Academy. Our school community continues to grow in achievement and character alike — our students represented the school with distinction at the Frank Anthony Memorial All India Debate Competition and the AISM Debate Competition, while our Basketball and Karate teams advanced to Regional and National levels.
Our "Each One Teach One" programme continues to build a culture of peer learning and shared responsibility among students. Our monthly school magazine keeps the community connected to campus life — this July's issue was themed on the environment, a reminder that the smallest actions shape the world our children inherit.
